Virginia G. Borman, 91, formerly of Spring Garden Avenue, passed away the afternoon of April 8, 2014 at Edison Manor.Born January 22, 1923 in New Castle, she was the daughter of Harold and Alvia Chambers Allen.She was preceded in death on March 23, 1998 by her husband of 57 years, Blaine H. Borman, Sr., whom she married November 19, 1940.Virginia was a homemaker and a member of several clubs including Women's Club of New Castle, Potpourri Club, Christian's Women's Club, and Wimodausis.She was a member of the former Second Presbyterian Church.She is survived by a son, Blaine H. Borman, Jr. of Lake Geneva, WI; a brother Richard Allen of Franklin, PA; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Allen.At Virginia's request, there will be no calling hours. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.Arrangements have been entrusted to the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.
