Virginia C. Thompson, 87, of Neshannock Township passed away at her residence the evening of June 3, 2016.
Born on April 22, 1929, Virginia was a daughter of Riley C. and Rosetta Porter Flaugher.
Surviving her at home is her husband, John H. Thompson. They were married April 19, 1947.
Virginia worked as a sales associate at Gerson's Jewelry Store. Mrs. Thompson attend New Life Baptist Church.
Besides her husband, Virginia is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David and Cynthia Thompson of Overland Park, KS; one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Sam Bossio of Morgantown, WV; 4 grandchildren, Brian and Travis Thompson, Laura Howe, John Bossio; and 4 great grandchildren, Gigi and Kendall Howe and Mason and Parker Bossio.
In addition to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Mrs. Thompson is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Kennedy of New Castle, Florence Ayers of Gibsonia, PA; three brothers, Ralph Flaugher of Pittsburgh, Harold Flaugher of Gilbert, AZ, Joseph Flaugher and his wife Bonnie, of Lafayette, NJ.
Virginia was preceded in passing by her parents; 2 sisters, Thelma DeCaprio, Alma Cioffi and one infant brother, Charles Flaugher.
Visitation will be Tuesday, from 6-8 PM and Wednesday from 10-11 AM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. John Bailey of New Life Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
