Vivian Leone Prosser, 93, New Castle, passed away the afternoon of December 22, 2012 at her residence. Born December 1, 1919, in New Castle, she was a daughter of Percy D. and Bessie Wagner Weiss. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Prosser. Leone had worked as a supervisor for the Unemployment Office in New Castle. She was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. She was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan and loved to watch and play golf. She is survived by a son, John ""Jack"" Prosser of Ft. Myers, Florida and daughter-in-law, Karen Prosser; four grandchildren, Becki Prosser, Matthew Prosser, Nicole Roberts and Jennifer Knick; three great grandchildren; a niece, Susan Mele; a nephew Douglas Fazzone; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, David B. Prosser; step daughter Ruth Dixon; and three sisters, Zoe Papanou, Ruth Fazzone and Jane Williams. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 2434 Wilmington Road, New Castle. The Rev. Andrew Jillson will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Northminster Presbyterian Church.
