Wallace E. Sines, Sr., age 86, of New Middletown, OH, passed away the evening of Jan. 13, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
Born May 16, 1933, in New Castle, Pa., Wallace was the son to the late Wayne U. & Maude (Sweet) Sines, Sr.
He married his beloved wife, Suzanne (Dellinger) Sines on May 12, 1962. She survives at home.
Wallace was a graduate of New Castle High School. He worked as a conductor and brakeman for the Conrail, Pennsylvania and Penn Central railroad systems. He enjoyed many outdoor activities such as fishing and attending to his vegetable gardens. He also enjoyed going to casino's and was a member of the Eintracht Singing Society. Wallace had a great sense of humor, was known as a jokester, and loved spending time with his family.
Along with his wife, Suzanne, Wallace is survived by one son, Wallace (Tammy) Sines, Jr., of Poland, OH; two brothers, Wayne U. Sines, Jr., of Palatka, FL; Garry Sines of Melbourne, FL; three grandchildren, Katie (Joe) Carothers, Jacob (Leigh) Sines, Rachel Sines and three great-grandchildren, Nora & Addie Carothers and Lucas Sines.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18th from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A service will take place immediately after visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Judy Wilson officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
