Walter James Rausch, age 70, of New Wilmington, PA, passed away the afternoon of April 5, 2025, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born Aug. 8, 1954, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Frank and Katherine (Sheets) Rausch.

He is survived by his best friend and companion, of 42 years, Sara Jane (Collins) Mackey.

Walter was a graduate of Neshannock High School. He was employed by Ferguson Perforating, Inc., where he was an electrician and in the maintenance department, for 26 years. He enjoyed camping, being outdoors, and was an avid mechanic, working on cars and motorcycles.

Survivors include a stepson, Ronald Mackey of New Castle, PA; stepdaughter Ruthann (Antwan) Gardner of New Castle, PA; brother Frank (Melinda) Rausch of San Antonio, TX; sister Laura (Israel) Hernandez of Labelle, FL; five grandchildren, Lorenzo, Genesis and Tycen Gardner and Caden and Wrenlee Mackey; one great granddaughter Willow Grace Mackey and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or services.
