Warren A. Mickle passed away in his Florida home, Monday, January 12, 2015.
He was born April 22, 1942 in Saugerties, New York. After high school Warren served in
the US Army for 42 months, attaining the rank of SP-5. He graduated from Army Military
Intelligence School, Psychological warfare training and Special Warfare School and then
served in US/Army Europe for 34 months. After receiving a B.S. from Quinnipiac Univ.
and taking graduate courses at Northwestern University and MIT Warren worked 43 years
in the field of Metallurgical Coatings with concentration on the Aircraft and Aerospace
Industries. Retired in 2006 as V.P./General Manager of Plasma Technology, Inc. with
plants in Torrance, CA and South Windsor, Ct. Upon retiring, Warren made New Castle,
PA his home with his wife of 47 years, Linda Mickle, who survives him. A son,
Todd Mickle & wife Erica DeLaRosa, in Santa Rosa, CA. A daughter, Jennifer Meyer &
husband Jonathan Meyer in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. His 7 Grandchildren who spent a
month every July at their home, in New Castle, doing fun and exciting things, will
remember him always. He loved golf, fishing, gardening and loved to sing to family and
friends. There will be no service and please make a donation in his name to your favorite
charity, if you so wish, in place of flowers. We will forever miss him.
