Warren G. Miller, age 100, formerly of Bowden Road, passed away the morning of October 11, 2020 at Quality Life Services in New Castle.
Born in Garden City, Kansas on October 5, 1920, he was the son of Willard and Bessie (Furness) Miller.
He was preceded in death on May 15, 1991 by his beloved wife of 46 years, Helen (Myers) Miller, whom he married May 30, 1944.
After graduation from Waverly School in Kansas, Warren served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII as a Master Sergeant. He was employed as a carpenter with Downing Cabinets.
A member of Eastbrook United Methodist Church, Warren enjoyed attending auctions, collecting antique tools and woodworking.
He is survived by three daughters, Mary L. (John) Baldwin of Volant, Ann M. Miller (Leroy Smith) of Arab, Alabama and Elaine G. (George) Yancura of New Castle; and three grandchildren, Adam Baldwin, Erik (Natalka) Blashak and Warren Smith.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Miller; one brother, D. Ray Miller; and a grandson, Marc Baldwin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.
A funeral service will take place on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Loren McQueen officiating. Military rites will be performed by the New Castle Area Honor Guard.
Burial will be in Briar Hill Cemetery.
