Wilbur R. Book, 92, of New Castle, passed away the evening of February 20, 2025 at Quality Life Services.

Wilbur was born, in New Castle, on October 8, 1932, to the late Leroy F. and Nellie M. Zeigler Book.

Mr. Book was a licensed funeral director and spent his life dedicated to the industry. He was the owner of the Charles A. Miller Funeral Homes. Wilbur answered his country's call by enlisting in the US Army and serving bravely during the Korean War. After his service, he returned to New Castle and studied at Westminster University. Mr. Book received the necessary credit hours to move on to The Cincinnati College of Embalming to become a licensed Funeral Director. Wilbur was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Mahoning New Castle Lodge #243 and The New Castle Consistory. He was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying, antiques and classic cars. Mr. Book was a member of the former 3rd Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include, One sister, Doris Book, of New Castle, 3 nieces and 2 nephews.

In addition to his parents, Wilbur was preceded in passing by one brother, Floyd E. Book and one sister, Marjorie Zoltani.

A service will be held at the family's convenience. Burial will be in Castleview Memorial Gardens
