Wilhelmina "Sis" K. Hartzell, age 88, of Pulaski Township, passed away December 11, 2019, at her residence. Born February 15, 1931, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Adolph C. & Hazel M. (Sturdevant) Roth. On April 17, 1953, she married her beloved husband, Donald G. Hartzell. He survives at home. Mrs. Hartzell was a 1948 graduate of Union High School. She attended Jameson School of Nursing and earned her degree as a RN. For over 40 years, Wilhelmina worked in the delivery room at Jameson Hospital. She was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed crossword puzzles, needlepoint, reading. She was a member of New Bedford Presbyterian Church. Along with her husband, Donald, Wilhelmina is survived by one son, Mark (Diana) Hartzell of New Castle; one daughter, Sydney K. (Timothy) O'Neill of Pawley's Island SC; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Wilhelmina is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Verne Roth. Visitation will be held on Monday Dec. 16 th from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 1:00 pm, at the funeral home, with Rev. Doug Runyan officiating. Burial will be at Castleview Cemetery.
