William Francis Connolly, Jr., age 51, of New Castle, passed away the morning of August 22, 2022, at his residence. Born March 30, 1971, in Gettysburg, Pa, he was the son of the late William Francis Connolly, Sr. and Mary (Mariacher) Connolly who resides in New Castle. William was a graduate of Butler High School and was an independent truck driver for 30 years. Among his varied hobbies, he enjoyed playing video games and golfing and disc golf. He also liked fishing and reading. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Samantha Connolly and her fiance' Jacob Freiters of Fairview, PA; one brother, John C. Connolly (Angee Leasure) of King, NC; two grandchildren, Madisyn Edwards and Chandlar Freiters; nieces, Deborah Sue Connolly, Kathleen Maurin and Chelsea; nephews, Tyler Connolly, Little John Connolly, Sean Connolly, Camryn Connolly, Cole Connolly, Chase Leasure and Alex Latuloia; and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; one sister, Tracie Connolly; and a nephew, Robert Latuloia. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
