William H. "Bill" Fullerton, age 63, of Orchard Park Drive, New Castle, passed away the night of April 5, 2015 at Grove Manor in Grove City, PA. Born March 31, 1952 in North Beaver Township, he was the son of Guy M. and Helen McCurley Fullerton. Bill graduated from Mohawk High School in 1970 and actively farmed the family farm for twenty years. He then moved to New Castle and worked in real estate. After venturing into real estate sales, he then began working for the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation, a division of the United States Department of Agriculture. He then did contractual work in consultation with four non-governmental crop insurance companies. From there, he took employment with Rural Community Insurance Services, the agriculture insurance division of Wells Fargo Bank. In 1997, he advanced to the area claims supervisor position for the Northeastern United States. Bill was one of the youngest directors appointed to the Penn State University Extension Board. During his lifetime, he served as Executive Secretary of the Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, and Lawrence County Wool Growers Assn. He was a member of the Brown Swiss Cattle Assn, the American Jersey Cattle Club, and the PA Sheriff Assn. He served as board secretary for the American Farm Bureau Assn and the board of directors of the Ford Mustang Club. Bill was a hard worker, but loved the time he spent with his family. He especially enjoyed cars, and relaxing at the lake at his condo in Conneaut, Ohio. He was a member of Westfield Presbyterian Church. Bill is survived by his cousins and a large family of co-workers. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to thank Dr. Kary Schroyer for his compassionate care during Bill's illness. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will take place on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Westfield Presbyterian Church, Mt. Jackson Road, New Castle. Rev. Paul Votaw will be officiating. Burial will be in Westfield Cemetery.
