William M. Mathewson, II, age 84, formerly of Linnette Drive, Palermo, NJ, passed away the afternoon of January 12, 2013 at the Overlook Medical Clinic, New Wilmington, PABorn September 28, 1928, in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of William Sydney Mathewson and Mildred Rodway Mathewson. He is survived by his wife, Jean Cripps Mathewson, whom he married on January 14, 1950. He attended Temple University. Bill was the owner of Mathewson Builders, where he was a building contractor for 60 years.He attended Calvary Chapel in Ocean City. Bill will be sadly missed by his family; two daughters, Cathy Williamson and husband Bob, of New Castle, PA, and Karen Newman of Somers Point, NJ; a son, William M. Mathewson, III and wife Patty of Somers Point, NJ; 10 grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Hudson and a sister, Jean M. Hamilton. At William's request, there will be no visitation or service.
