William John Mayer, 57, of New Castle, passed away the morning of May 10, 2013 at UPMC Horizon in Farrell, PA. Born September 7, 1955, in New Castle, he was a son of John William Mayer and Ethel Lucille Harlan Mayer. He is survived by his wife, Linda Sonntag Mayer, whom he married on June 24, 1978. He was a graduate of Shenango High School and was employed in the Press Department of Ezeflow in New Castle. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing, and attended of Grace Community Chapel in Hermitage, PA. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by a daughter, Lauren M. Frazier, and her husband, Mark C. Frazier of Hermitage; a brother, Eric Mayer of Oil City; two sisters, Sandra Hill of Grove City and Eleanor (Larry) McDanel of New Castle; and five grandchildren, Markus John, Lexie, Cole, Camden and Maura Frazier and his mother-in-law Martha Sonntag. He was preceded in death by his father; his father-in-law Russell Sonntag; a brother-in-law Jeffrey "Jack" Roe; and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, 2013, from 4:00-8:00 and Tuesday, May 14, 2013, from 5:00-6:30 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home and will be officiated by Pastor Dominic Verdell of Grace Community Chapel. Burial will be in Mt.
