William A. "Bill" Sankey, Jr., age 47, of Northview Avenue, passed away at his residence the afternoon of May 24, 2016. Born in New Castle, Pa on January 20, 1969, he was the son of William A. Sankey, Sr. and Linda Hughes Sankey. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Crystal Norris Sankey, whom he married on November 8, 2003. Bill was a 1987 graduate of New Castle High School, and was employed as an overnight stocker at Walmart. In his spare time he enjoyed playing video games and spending time with his family. He was of protestant faith. In addition to his wife and his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Sankey and Chloe Sankey, of New Castle; two sons, Michael Sankey and Mark Sankey of New Castle; three brothers, R. Joseph Sankey of New Castle, Andrew L. Sankey of Texas, and Robert K. (Marlena) Sankey of Mt. Jackson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will take place on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Rupert of Life Changing Ministries officiating.
