William James Temple, age 53, of Garrettsville, Ohio, passed away February 18, 2017. Born in New Castle, Pa. on September 30, 1963, he was the son of the late Charles W. Temple who preceded him in death on December 2, 2008, and Delores Kolunie Temple who resides in Neshannock Township. William is survived by his wonderful wife of 20 years, Victoria Wray Temple, whom he married on September 14, 1996. Vicky was dedicated to him throughout his illnesses and difficult times. He graduated from New Castle High School in 1981, and was a graduate of Indiana University of Pa. Bill went through the ranks of scouting and was an Eagle Scout. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan as well as a Cleveland Indians fan. Among his many interests, Bill enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. Often, he, along with his wife and his dogs whom he cherished, all went camping. He had a wonderful bond with his father and was devastated when he passed away. They would hunt and fish together and the first day of trout season was like a holiday in the Temple family. Bill will forever be remembered as having a great personality and a smile on his face. Everyone who met him loved him. In addition to his wife and his mother, Bill is survived by one brother whom he loved dearly, Robert C. Temple and his wife Patty of New Castle; his nephew Jimmy and niece Kayla whom he enjoyed watching grow up; two aunts, Tina Yankush of Poland, Ohio and Grace Miles of Sharon, Pa; one uncle, Donald (Sylvia) Kolunie of Mansfield, OH; mother-in-law Shelvia Wray; brother-in-law Jeff Wray; sisters-in-law, Sharon (Keith) Grodell and Janet (Gus) Gallucie, all from the Cleveland area; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Angeline Kolunie; and two uncles, Pete Yankush and Bill Miles. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA. A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Chris Weichman officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
